About The Amoticons™ – Supporting Children's Emotional Literacy
Helping children understand emotions through stories, characters and conversation.
Every child experiences happiness, sadness, anger, fear, pride, guilt, shame, jealousy and disgust. The Amoticons™ were created to give children simple, memorable characters that help them recognise these emotions, understand why they happen and learn healthy ways to respond. Rather than teaching emotions as difficult ideas, The Amoticons bring them to life through stories, adventures and play, making emotional literacy engaging, accessible and fun.
The Amoticons live in Amoticonia, a connected world where every landscape represents a different emotion and every journey helps children better understand themselves and others. It is not a fantasy world that children escape to—it is a bridge back to the real world, where every story encourages greater confidence, stronger relationships and lifelong emotional understanding.
At the heart of Amoticonia are nine unforgettable Amoticons, each representing a different emotion and teaching children that every feeling has a purpose. Through books, classroom resources, activities and imaginative adventures, they help children recognise their emotions, express them with confidence and develop the skills to navigate everyday life with kindness, resilience and empathy.
The World of Amoticonia
We believe emotional literacy should be as natural as learning to read, count and play. Our mission is to help every child understand that emotions are not something to fear or hide from—they are something to recognise, understand and grow through.
Welcome to Amoticonia. Every feeling matters, every child belongs, and every journey begins with understanding yourself.
